"Taksim 360 is beyond being just an office building project for our office. For us, creating a new architectural language in an area that is located at the historic center of Istanbul but has not been invested in for long years and positioning our building in a context in harmony with the historic environment has been an exciting but challenging process. This project, by means of which the concept of "renewal project" - a concept heard in Turkey for the first time - is shared and discussed with the public, could not be ordinary. I regard this project as a key milestone for my experience as an architecture. This project has been a research school for our office and a process of relearning how to develop a social project in urban area. On the other hand, we have to say that our opinion on registered buildings in the historic environment and their protection as well as our idea of construing them with the new buildings nearby in line with examples from all over the world in a manner not accustomed in our country have been frankly put forward."
